Allow me to introduce myself to this Federal Forum!
I am Sool, currently an Union pilot who is in the NPR located alliance GUA. The reason why I am a member of GUA is simply for AC fun and casual friendships. It also allowed me to play on a relaxed way in Orion, with no leadership or other duties to attend. Just being one of the many pilots around doing her own thing.
Now, while being in The Union and GUA, I have always kept interest in being a good Union pilot. My war medals can attest that. However I do not feel much true connection with The Union as faction at all. I think this is mostly because I don't like their factionbackground and their way of playing. I can't really explain, there's just something bugging me about it and disallowing me to get really involved (or maybe I just really love blue, seeing how I'm Federal alligned in all universes - well, unofficialy in Orion
).The Federation and the FPC went the last half year through a lot of (mostly) bad things. I admit that I am very much not good informed on who, what, where, how exactly. What I do know is that the FPC can use some good and "Federal loyal" baseowners. Rebuilding needs to be done and one of the best economical clusters in this universe needs to flourish again. As that is something what I find interesting to do, I would like to contribute to focus on such a peaceful and economical rebuilding. In order to contribute to this goal I am not only spending my APs in my BBB in the FPC, but also soonishly going to purchase a FPC base. In order to have good relations with my Federal neighbours various Federals who're also on this board have already received messages from me. I would again like to thank them for the informative and warm welcome! This re-assured me that the FPC is not what it seems to be on the Pardus forum and that my efforts will not be wasted.
Obviously I also expect a financial revenue from my (rather large and risky) investment in purchasing the FPC base and expanding robot and handweapon production chains. However, I have a dilemma. I spend a good chunk on ATPs on the shield ATP boosts. I spend another chunk of time ranking to a Scorpion and I am only 30% rank away from reaching Godmother...
The Federation fleet is formidable and strong, but I was thinking that some more diversity would be welcomed in your fighting force. Above that I like that do not waste some large chunk spend ATPs and APs, while I can still powergaming wise skill and fight on Federal side very efficiently in my Scorpion with 840 boosted shields and the Union techs, and for the long term to come fly my Union BBB with the nice -1 AP less goody.
So, I have been informed that the northern Fornacis base longterm was owned by an Union player without problems. Would this still be possible and accepted and under what agreement ? If a deal could be made, then powergaming wise it would be benefitable for myself and for The Federation in practicum nothing changes. Afterall, true loyality can not be attested by the ingame Federal tag next to ones name, I think that we all know that by now...
Of course I will turn Federal if requested, I just want to check for powergaming advantages if there is room for a consensus.
